Here’s a simple, flavorful Sautéed Mushroom & Broccoli Stir-Fry — quick, healthy, and full of flavor 🥦🍄

🥦🍄 Sautéed Mushroom & Broccoli Stir-Fry

🧾 Ingredients (Serves 3–4)

  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 8 oz mushrooms (cremini or button), sliced
  • 2 tbsp oil (olive oil or sesame oil)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated (optional but adds warmth)
  • 2–3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (for finishing)
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp water or vegetable broth

Optional add-ins:

  • Red pepper flakes for heat
  • Sliced bell peppers or carrots for color
  • Toasted sesame seeds for garnish

🔥 Instructions

1. Prep Broccoli

  • Cut broccoli into bite-sized florets.
  • Optional: blanch in boiling water 1–2 minutes for extra tenderness.

2. Sauté Mushrooms

  • Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add mushrooms and cook undisturbed 2–3 minutes to brown.
  • Stir and cook until golden.

3. Add Aromatics

  • Add garlic (and ginger, if using) and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.

4. Add Broccoli & Steam

  • Add broccoli and 2 tbsp water/broth.
  • Cover 1–2 minutes to let broccoli steam slightly.

5. Season

  • Stir in soy sauce and sesame oil.
  • Cook 1–2 more minutes until broccoli is tender-crisp.
  • Adjust salt & pepper to taste.

🍽️ Serve With

  • Steamed rice or noodles
  • As a side to grilled chicken, tofu, or beef
  • Inside a rice or grain bowl

💡 Tips:

  • Cook mushrooms first without overcrowding for better browning.
  • Use medium-high heat for quick cooking and crisp veggies.
  • Add a splash of rice vinegar or soy-sesame sauce for extra flavor.

I can also give you a spicy garlic version or a teriyaki-style mushroom & broccoli stir-fry if you want something more bold.

Do you want me to make the spicy version?
