Creamy garlic shrimp is rich, fast, and restaurant-style—juicy shrimp coated in a buttery garlic cream sauce. It takes about 15–20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 400–500g shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4–5 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup cooking cream (or fresh cream)
  • 1/2 tsp salt (to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley or coriander (for garnish)

🍳 Instructions

1. Cook shrimp

  • Heat olive oil + 1 tbsp butter in a pan
  • Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper
  • Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and just done
  • Remove and set aside

2. Make garlic cream sauce

  • In the same pan, add remaining butter
  • Add garlic and sauté 30–60 seconds (don’t burn it)
  • Pour in cream and stir

3. Season the sauce

  • Add paprika, chili flakes, salt, and pepper
  • Simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thick

4. Combine

  • Add shrimp back into the sauce
  • Toss gently and cook 1–2 minutes

5. Finish

  • Add lemon juice
  • Sprinkle fresh parsley

  • Pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
  • Garlic rice or plain basmati rice
  • Mashed potatoes
  • Crusty bread for dipping

  • Don’t overcook shrimp—they turn rubbery fast
