Pork roast

Here’s a classic, juicy pork roast recipe with a flavorful crust and tender inside:


🍖 Pork Roast (Oven-Roasted)

Ingredients:

  • 1–1.5 kg pork shoulder or pork loin
  • 3–4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary
  • 1 tbsp mustard (optional)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Pat the pork dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix garlic, oil, salt, pepper, paprika, herbs, mustard, and lemon juice.
  4. Rub this mixture all over the pork.
  5. Place the pork in a roasting pan (fat side up).
  6. Roast uncovered for about 25–30 minutes per 500g, or until internal temperature reaches ~70–75°C.
  7. For a crispy top, increase heat to 220°C for the last 10–15 minutes.
  8. Let the meat rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing.

Serving Ideas:

  • With roasted potatoes and vegetables
  • In sandwiches with mustard sauce
  • Alongside rice or mashed potatoes

Tip:
If you want extra juicy meat, you can cover it with foil for the first half of cooking, then uncover to brown.
