Here’s a classic, juicy pork roast recipe with a flavorful crust and tender inside:
🍖 Pork Roast (Oven-Roasted)
Ingredients:
- 1–1.5 kg pork shoulder or pork loin
- 3–4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary
- 1 tbsp mustard (optional)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Pat the pork dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix garlic, oil, salt, pepper, paprika, herbs, mustard, and lemon juice.
- Rub this mixture all over the pork.
- Place the pork in a roasting pan (fat side up).
- Roast uncovered for about 25–30 minutes per 500g, or until internal temperature reaches ~70–75°C.
- For a crispy top, increase heat to 220°C for the last 10–15 minutes.
- Let the meat rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
Serving Ideas:
- With roasted potatoes and vegetables
- In sandwiches with mustard sauce
- Alongside rice or mashed potatoes
Tip:
If you want extra juicy meat, you can cover it with foil for the first half of cooking, then uncover to brown.
