  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup sugar (brown sugar preferred)
  • ½ cup butter (melted) or oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Optional: ½ tsp cinnamon
  • Optional: ½ cup walnuts or chocolate chips

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Prep

  • Preheat oven to 175°C
  • Grease or line a loaf pan

2. Mash bananas

  • Mash until smooth with a few small lumps

3. Mix wet ingredients

  • Add melted butter/oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla
  • Mix until combined

4. Add dry ingredients

  • Stir in flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon
  • Mix gently (don’t overmix)

5. Add extras

  • Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if using

6. Bake

  • Pour into pan
  • Bake for 50–60 minutes
  • Toothpick should come out clean

7. Cool

  • Let cool before slicing

🍽️ Serving Ideas:

  • Warm with butter 🧈
  • With tea or coffee ☕
  • With peanut butter or Nutella
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream 🍦

🔥 Tips:

  • Use very ripe bananas (dark spots = best flavor)
  • Don’t overmix batter
  • Add yogurt or milk for extra moisture
  • Store covered to keep it soft

🌟 Variations:

  • Chocolate banana bread 🍫
  • Banana nut bread 🌰
  • Healthy version (use honey + whole wheat flour)
  • Banana muffins (same batter, shorter bake time)

If you want, I can give you a super moist bakery-style version, a no-egg recipe, or a 3-ingredient quick banana bread 👍
