🍰 Pound Cake (classic simple recipe)

Pound cake is a rich, buttery cake with a dense but soft texture—perfect for tea time or dessert.


🥣 Ingredients:

  • 🌾 Flour (2 cups)
  • 🧈 Butter (1 cup, softened)
  • 🍬 Sugar (1 cup)
  • 🥚 Eggs (4 large)
  • 🥛 Milk (½ cup)
  • 🌿 Vanilla extract (1–2 tsp)
  • 🥄 Baking powder (1½ tsp)
  • 🧂 Pinch of salt

👩‍🍳 Steps:

1. Cream butter & sugar

  • Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Add eggs

  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.

3. Mix dry ingredients

  • Combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add slowly into wet mixture.

4. Add milk & vanilla

  • Mix until smooth batter forms.

5. Bake

  • Pour into greased loaf pan.
  • Bake at 175°C (350°F) for 50–60 minutes.

6. Cool & serve

  • Let it cool before slicing.
