Parmesan Potato Wedges

Posted on March 28, 2026 by Admin

Parmesan potato wedges are crispy-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside potato slices coated with Parmesan cheese and herbs—a simple, flavorful side dish or snack.

🥔 What They Are

  • Potato wedges: Cut into thick, wedge shapes
  • Seasoning: Parmesan cheese, garlic, herbs, olive oil
  • Texture: Crispy exterior, soft interior
  • Perfect as a side for chicken, steak, burgers, or as a snack

🍳 Easy Recipe

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 4 medium potatoes, washed and cut into wedges
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs or rosemary
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat oven
    • 220°C (425°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare wedges
    • Toss potato wedges with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Bake
    • Arrange wedges in a single layer.
    • Bake 25–30 min, flipping halfway through, until golden and tender.
  4. Add Parmesan
    • Sprinkle Parmesan over wedges during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  5. Serve
    • Optional: Garnish with chopped parsley or a squeeze of lemon. Serve hot.

🔥 Tips

  • Uniform wedges → ensures even cooking
  • High heat → helps crisp the edges
  • Optional: For extra crispiness, soak raw potato wedges in cold water 30 min, then pat dry before baking

🍽️ Serving Ideas

  • With ketchup, ranch, or aioli for dipping
  • Side for grilled chicken, burgers, or steak
  • Part of a comfort food platter with chicken wings or mozzarella sticks

I can also give a crispy Parmesan potato wedges recipe using an air fryer for a faster, extra-crunchy version that’s less oily.
