Here’s a fast, flavorful Lemon Garlic Shrimp recipe—bright, garlicky, and ready in minutes.

Lemon Garlic Shrimp

Serves: 4
Time: ~15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice (more to taste)
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 1–2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season shrimp with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat pan over medium-high. Add olive oil or butter.
  3. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant (don’t brown).
  4. Cook shrimp in a single layer, 1–2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
  5. Finish with lemon zest, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Toss to coat.
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

  • Over pasta or rice
  • With crusty bread to soak up the sauce
  • On top of a salad
  • With roasted or steamed vegetables

Variations

  • Creamy: Add a splash of cream or Greek yogurt at the end
  • Mediterranean: Add capers or olives
