🍨 Nana’s Frozen Fruit Salad

A sweet, creamy, and fruity frozen treat that’s perfect for summer potlucks, holidays, or a refreshing dessert.

📝 Ingredients

  • 1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 (15 oz) can mandarin oranges, drained
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans, optional)
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows (optional for extra sweetness)
  • Optional: 1 cup chopped apples or grapes

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Mix ingredients:
In a large bowl, gently fold together pineapple, mandarin oranges, mini marshmallows, nuts, and any optional fruit.
  2. Add whipped topping:
Fold in whipped topping until everything is evenly coated.
  3. Freeze:
Transfer mixture to a freezer-safe dish. Cover and freeze for at least 2–3 hours, or until firm.
  4. Serve:
Scoop with a large spoon into bowls or serve as a chilled dessert at gatherings.

✨ Tips

  • For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract or a sprinkle of shredded coconut.
  • Can be made a day ahead and stored in the freezer. Let sit a few minutes at room temperature before serving to soften slightly.
  • Substitute Greek yogurt for part of the whipped topping for a lighter version.

If you want, I can also give a layered “Nana’s fruit salad” version that looks extra festive for holidays.
