Energy drink

Posted on March 29, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple homemade energy drink recipe that’s healthier, inexpensive, and customizable, without the excessive sugar and artificial ingredients found in commercial brands.

Ingredients (Makes 1 serving)

  • 1 cup (240 ml) cold water or coconut water
  • 1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon or lime
  • 1/4 tsp salt (helps with electrolytes)
  • Optional: 1/4 tsp grated ginger or a few slices of fresh ginger for a natural kick
  • Optional: a pinch of caffeine powder or a shot of brewed green tea for extra energy

Instructions

  1. Mix liquids
    • In a glass or bottle, combine water (or coconut water) with lemon or lime juice.
  2. Add flavor and energy boosters
    • Stir in honey, salt, and ginger if using.
  3. Optional caffeine boost
    • Add green tea or a tiny pinch of caffeine powder if desired.
  4. Chill and enjoy
    • Shake or stir well. Drink cold.

Tips

  • Coconut water adds natural electrolytes, making it great for post-workout.
  • Adjust sweetness and citrus to taste.
  • Can be made in larger batches and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • Add a pinch of sea salt or electrolyte powder if using after heavy exercise.

If you want, I can give a super quick 2-ingredient energy drink that’s ready in under a minute and tastes surprisingly good.

Do you want me to do that?
