Cucumber and Tomato Salad

A simple Cucumber and Tomato Salad is fresh, quick, and perfect as a side dish or light meal.

🥗 Ingredients

  • Cucumber – 1 to 2 medium, sliced or chopped
  • Tomato – 2 to 3 medium, chopped
  • 1 small red onion (optional), thinly sliced
  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1–2 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh herbs (parsley, coriander, or mint), optional

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prep the vegetables: Wash and chop cucumbers and tomatoes into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Combine: Add them to a mixing bowl along with onion if using.
  3. Dress it: Drizzle olive oil and lemon juice (or vinegar) over the salad.
  4. Season: Add salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Toss gently: Mix everything until evenly coated.
  6. Finish: Sprinkle fresh herbs on top if you like extra flavor.

💡 Tips

  • Chill for 10–15 minutes before serving for better flavor.
  • Add feta cheese or olives for a Mediterranean twist.
  • For a spicier version, add chopped green chili.
