Here’s a simple, cozy Crockpot hash browns recipe — perfect for breakfast or a side dish 🥔✨

🥔 Crockpot Hash Browns

🧾 Ingredients (Serves 6–8)

  • 1 (30 oz) bag frozen shredded hash browns
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom for vegetarian)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)

🔥 Instructions

1. Prep the Crockpot

  • Spray the inside with non-stick cooking spray.

2. Mix Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, combine hash browns, onion, cheese (if using), cream of chicken soup, sour cream, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir until well combined.

3. Cook

  • Pour mixture into the Crockpot.
  • Cover and cook on low 4–6 hours or high 2–3 hours, until hot and bubbly.

4. Optional Finish

  • For a golden top, you can uncover for the last 30 minutes and sprinkle extra cheese.

💡 Tips

  • Add cooked bacon or sausage for a hearty breakfast casserole.
  • For extra creaminess, stir in a little milk or cream before serving.
  • Leftovers reheat well in the microwave or oven.

If you want, I can also give you a loaded Crockpot version with cheese, bacon, and green onions that’s basically breakfast heaven.

Do you want me to make that version?
