Crock Pot Stuffing

Posted on March 26, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple and flavorful Crock Pot stuffing recipe that’s perfect for holidays or anytime:

Ingredients:

  • 8 cups cubed bread (day-old or slightly stale works best)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2–3 celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2–3 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley, 1/2 cup dried cranberries, or 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Instructions:

  1. Prep the veggies:
    • In a skillet, melt butter and sauté onion, celery, and garlic until soft (about 5 minutes).
  2. Combine in slow cooker:
    • Place cubed bread in the Crock Pot. Add sautéed vegetables, herbs, salt, pepper, and optional extras. Mix gently.
  3. Add broth:
    • Pour in 2 cups of broth and stir lightly. Add more broth if you like a moister stuffing.
  4. Cook:
    • Cover and cook on Low for 3–4 hours or High for 1.5–2 hours, until the stuffing is heated through and slightly golden on top.
  5. Serve:
    • Fluff with a fork and serve as a side dish with turkey, chicken, or pork.

Tip: For extra flavor, you can add cooked sausage or bacon before mixing with the bread.

If you want, I can give a super-easy 2-ingredient version that uses pre-seasoned stuffing mix—perfect for minimal prep. Do you want me to show that?
