Posted on March 29, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a delicious Cinnamon Sweet Alabama Pecan Bread recipe—a soft, slightly sweet loaf with warm cinnamon swirls and crunchy pecans. Perfect for breakfast, tea, or a snack.

Ingredients (Makes 1 loaf)

For the Bread

  • 2 ½ cups (315 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (240 ml) buttermilk or milk

For the Cinnamon Pecan Swirl

  • ½ cup (100 g) brown sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup (60 g) chopped pecans
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Optional Glaze

  • ½ cup (60 g) powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Prepare the bread batter
    • In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and 1 tsp cinnamon.
    • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
    • Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk to the wet mixture until smooth.
  3. Make the cinnamon pecan swirl
    • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, chopped pecans, and melted butter.
  4. Assemble the loaf
    • Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
    • Sprinkle half of the cinnamon pecan mixture over the batter.
    • Pour remaining batter on top and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon pecan mixture.
    • Use a knife to gently swirl the layers together.
  5. Bake
    • Bake 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool and glaze
    • Let the bread cool 10–15 minutes before removing from the pan.
    • Optional: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for a simple glaze and drizzle over the loaf.

Tips

  • Toast pecans lightly to enhance their flavor.
  • For extra moistness, wrap the cooled loaf in foil and let sit overnight before slicing.
  • Serve warm with butter or cream cheese for a decadent treat.

If you want, I can give a quick 1-bowl version of Cinnamon Sweet Alabama Pecan Bread that’s ready in under an hour and still soft and swirly.

Do you want me to do that?
