🥦🍝 Broccoli pasta

A simple, comforting dish—tender pasta tossed with broccoli, garlic, and a light creamy or olive-oil sauce. Quick, healthy, and really satisfying.


🥣 Ingredients

  • 200–250g pasta (penne, spaghetti, or fusilli)
  • 2 cups broccoli (cut into small florets)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 3–4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • Salt & black pepper
  • ¼ cup pasta water (reserved)
  • ¼ cup grated cheese (parmesan or cheddar)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. Cook pasta & broccoli

  • Boil pasta in salted water
  • Add broccoli in the last 2–3 minutes
  • Reserve some pasta water, then drain

2. Make the base

  • Heat olive oil in a pan
  • Add garlic and chili flakes, cook until fragrant (not burnt)

3. Combine

  • Add drained pasta and broccoli
  • Pour in a little pasta water
  • Toss everything together

4. Finish

  • Add cheese, salt, and pepper
  • Mix until creamy and well coated

🍽️ Variations

  • Creamy version: Add ½ cup cream or milk
  • Protein boost: Add grilled chicken or shrimp
  • Extra flavor: Add mushrooms or sun-dried tomatoes

  • Don’t overcook broccoli—keep it bright green
