Banana mousse

Posted on March 29, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple and delicious Banana Mousse recipe—creamy, light, and naturally sweet. Perfect for a quick dessert or individual servings.

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 2–3 tbsp powdered sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional garnish: sliced bananas, chocolate shavings, or a sprinkle of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare bananas
    • Peel and mash bananas in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Whip the cream
    • In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  3. Combine
    • Gently fold the mashed bananas into the whipped cream until fully incorporated. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.
  4. Chill
    • Spoon the mousse into serving glasses or bowls. Refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours before serving.
  5. Serve
    • Garnish with sliced bananas, chocolate shavings, or a light sprinkle of cinnamon.

Tips

  • Use ripe bananas for natural sweetness and better flavor.
  • For a tropical twist, add a teaspoon of lime juice or a splash of rum extract.
  • Can be made vegan by using coconut cream instead of heavy cream.

If you want, I can give a super-quick 3-ingredient banana mousse version that’s ready in 10 minutes—no whipping required, just bananas, sweetened condensed milk, and whipped topping.

Do you want me to do that?
