Chicken tenders

Here’s a simple, crispy way to make chicken tenders at home—juicy inside, crunchy outside.


🍗 Crispy Chicken Tenders

Ingredients

  • 500 g chicken breast (cut into strips)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (or crushed cornflakes for extra crunch)
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk (optional, for egg wash)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika or chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • Oil for frying

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prep the chicken

  • Cut chicken into even strips
  • Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder
  • Let sit for 10–15 minutes

2. Set up coating station

Prepare three bowls:

  1. Flour (seasoned with a pinch of salt & pepper)
  2. Beaten eggs (mixed with milk if using)
  3. Breadcrumbs

3. Coat the tenders

  • Dip chicken in flour → egg → breadcrumbs
  • Press breadcrumbs firmly so they stick well
  • For extra crunch, double coat (egg + breadcrumbs again)

4. Fry

  • Heat oil to medium-high
  • Fry tenders for 3–5 minutes per side until golden brown
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan

5. Drain & serve

  • Place on paper towel to remove excess oil
  • Serve hot

  • With ketchup, mayo, or garlic dip
  • In wraps or sandwiches
  • With fries or salad

💡 Tips for extra crispiness

  • Use panko or cornflakes instead of regular breadcrumbs
  • Let coated tenders rest 10 minutes before frying
  • Keep oil at steady heat (too low = soggy, too high = burnt outside, raw inside)
