Sunday roast

Here’s a classic Sunday roast menu with timing so everything finishes together — perfect for a relaxed but impressive meal.


🍽 Classic Sunday Roast (Serves 4–6)

🥩 Roast Beef

Ingredients

  • 3–4 lb beef roast (ribeye, sirloin, or top round)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp rosemary or thyme

Instructions

  1. Bring beef to room temp (45–60 minutes).
  2. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
  3. Rub with oil, salt, pepper, garlic, herbs.
  4. Roast 15 minutes at 450°F.
  5. Reduce to 325°F (165°C) and cook ~15 min per lb for medium-rare (130–135°F).
  6. Rest 15–20 minutes before slicing.

🥔 Crispy Roast Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 2½ lbs Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil or beef drippings
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut into chunks.
  2. Parboil 10 minutes, drain, shake pot to rough edges.
  3. Toss with oil and seasoning
