Here’s a rich, comforting slow cooker beef recipe—tender, flavorful, and perfect with rice, mashed potatoes, or naan:


🥩 Slow Cooker Beef (Tender & Juicy)

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 700g–1 kg beef (chuck or stew cuts, cut into chunks)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 large onion (sliced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 carrots (chopped)
  • 2 potatoes (cubed, optional)
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth (or water)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp turmeric (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or mixed herbs
  • 1 bay leaf

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Sear the beef (optional but recommended)
    Heat oil in a pan and brown the beef pieces for extra flavor.
  2. Layer in slow cooker
    Add onions, garlic, carrots, and potatoes to the bottom. Place beef on top.
  3. Add flavor
    Mix broth, tomato paste, soy sauce, and spices. Pour over everything.
  4. Cook low & slow
    • LOW: 7–8 hours
    • HIGH: 4–5 hours
  5. Finish
    Remove bay leaf. Taste and adjust salt. If you want thicker gravy, mix 1 tbsp cornstarch with water and stir in, then cook 15 more minutes.
