Sausage Cheese Dip

Posted on January 31, 2026 by Admin

Oh yes 😌 Sausage Cheese Dip—creamy, savory, and loaded with sausage and melty cheese. Perfect for parties, game day, or snacking with chips, crackers, or bread.

🧀 Sausage Cheese Dip

Ingredients (6–8 servings)

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese (optional for extra stretch)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped green onions or jalapeños for topping

Instructions

  1. Cook sausage
    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned, breaking into crumbles. Drain excess fat.
  2. Mix base
    • In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Combine
    • Add cooked sausage and 1 cup of shredded cheddar to the cream cheese mixture. Stir until well combined.
  4. Bake or melt
    • Transfer mixture to an oven-safe dish and sprinkle remaining cheddar (and mozzarella, if using) on top.
    • Bake 20–25 min at 350°F (175°C) until hot and bubbly.
  5. Serve
    • Garnish with green onions or jalapeños if desired. Serve warm with chips, crackers, or bread.

Pro Tips

  • Slow cooker option: Combine all ingredients (except topping) in slow cooker, cook on low 1–2 hours, add cheese on top before serving.
  • Extra cheesy: Mix in Velveeta or pepper jack for creaminess and kick.
  • Spicy twist: Add chopped jalapeños, hot sauce, or cayenne pepper.
  • Make ahead: Prepare mixture in advance and bake before serving.

I can also give you a one-pot stovetop version that’s ready in 15 minutes, perfect for last-minute snacking 😏.

Do you want me to give that quick stovetop version?
