Here’s a classic, comforting Sweet Potato Pie recipe — creamy, spiced, and perfect for dessert.

🍠 Sweet Potato Pie

Ingredients

For the Crust

  • 1 9-inch pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

For the Filling

  • 2 cups cooked and mashed sweet potatoes (about 2–3 medium)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk (whole or 2%)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Oven

  • Preheat to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish, trimming and crimping edges as desired.

2️⃣ Prepare Sweet Potato Filling

  1. In a large bowl, beat the mashed sweet potatoes and butter until smooth.
  2. Add sugar, brown sugar, eggs, milk, and vanilla. Mix until creamy.
  3. Stir in cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt until evenly combined.

3️⃣ Assemble Pie

  • Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust and smooth the top.

4️⃣ Bake

  • Bake 50–60 minutes, or until the center is set (slightly jiggly is okay, it will firm as it cools).
  • If the crust browns too quickly, cover the edges with foil.

5️⃣ Cool & Serve

  • Let the pie cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for 1–2 hours before slicing.
  • Optional: serve with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Tips & Variations

  • Spice mix: Adjust cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger to taste.
  • Sweetener alternatives: Use maple syrup or honey for part of the sugar.
  • Crustless version: Pour filling into a buttered pie dish and bake for a custard-style sweet potato pie.

If you want, I can also give a mini sweet potato pie muffin version that’s portable and perfect for single servings.

Do you want me to provide that version?
