Here’s a classic, juicy meatloaf recipe—comfort food at its best with a flavorful glaze on top:

🥩 Classic Meatloaf

🧾 Ingredients (serves 4–6)

  • 1 kg (2 lbs) ground beef (or beef + pork mix)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)

For the glaze:

  • ⅓ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp mustard (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • Set to 180°C (350°F). Grease a loaf pan or line a baking tray.
  2. Mix ingredients
    • In a large bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, eggs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings.
    • Mix gently until just combined (don’t overmix).
  3. Shape the loaf
    • Form into a loaf shape and place in pan or on tray.
  4. Add glaze
    • Mix glaze ingredients and spread over the top.
  5. Bake
    • Bake 55–65 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
  6. Rest & serve
    • Let rest 10 minutes before slicing to keep it juicy.

🍽️ Serving Ideas

  • Mashed potatoes
  • Steamed vegetables
  • Garlic bread

🔥 Tips & Variations

  • Extra moist: Add grated carrot or zucchini
  • Cheesy: Mix in shredded cheddar or mozzarella
  • Low-carb: Replace breadcrumbs with almond flour
  • Mini loaves: Bake in muffin tins (cook 20–25 minutes)

If you want, I can give you a slow cooker meatloaf, a BBQ-glazed version, or a super moist Ritz cracker meatloaf 👍
