Meatloaf

Here’s a classic, hearty meatloaf recipe — flavorful, moist, and topped with a sweet-savory glaze 🍖✨

🍖 Classic Meatloaf

🧾 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

Meatloaf

  • 1½ lbs ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning

Glaze

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

🔥 Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper.

2. Prepare Meatloaf Mixture

  • In a large bowl, combine ground meat, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, Worcestershire, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  • Mix gently until just combined (don’t overmix — keeps meatloaf tender).

3. Shape & Add Glaze

  • Shape mixture into a loaf and place in the prepared pan.
  • Mix glaze ingredients and spread evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

4. Bake

  • Bake 55–65 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  • Optional: Broil 2–3 minutes at the end for a caramelized top.

5. Rest & Serve

  • Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or green beans.

💡 Tips:

  • For extra flavor, add finely diced bell peppers or shredded carrots to the meat mixture.
  • Use panko breadcrumbs for a lighter texture.
  • Leftovers make great sandwiches!

I can also give you variations like:

  • Cheesy stuffed meatloaf
  • Bacon-wrapped meatloaf
  • Italian-style meatloaf with marinara
  • Mini meatloaf muffins

Do you want me to give the cheesy stuffed meatloaf version?
