Honey roasted chicken

Oh yes 😌 honey roasted chicken—crispy, golden, and just the right amount of sweet. Perfect for a cozy dinner.


🍯 Honey Roasted Chicken (Whole or Pieces)

Ingredients (4 servings)

  • 1 whole chicken (3–4 lbs) or 4–6 bone-in chicken thighs/legs
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: 1 tsp thyme or rosemary

Instructions

  1. Prep chicken
    Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat chicken dry. If using a whole chicken, tuck wings under and season cavity lightly.
  2. Make honey glaze
    Mix honey, olive oil, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and herbs in a small bowl.
  3. Coat chicken
    Brush the chicken or pieces generously with the honey mixture.
  4. Roast
    • Whole chicken: 60–70 min
    • Thighs/legs: 35–45 min
      Bake until skin is golden and internal temp reaches 165°F (74°C). Brush with extra honey halfway through for more glaze.
  5. Rest & serve
    Let rest 10 minutes before carving. Spoon pan juices over the chicken.

Pro Tips

  • For extra crisp skin: roast uncovered on a wire rack over a baking sheet
  • Add lemon slices or orange zest to the pan for citrusy brightness
  • Serve with roasted veggies or mashed potatoes
