🍗 Crockpot BBQ Chicken

An easy, tender, and juicy slow-cooker recipe — perfect for sandwiches, tacos, or meal prep.

🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 2–3 lbs (900g–1.3kg) boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1½ cups (360 ml) BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
  • ½ cup chicken broth (or water)
  • 1 small onion (thinly sliced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep

Place chicken in the bottom of your crockpot. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

2️⃣ Add Sauce

In a bowl, mix BBQ sauce, broth, garlic, brown sugar, and smoked paprika. Pour over the chicken. Add sliced onions on top.

3️⃣ Slow Cook

  • Low: 6–7 hours
  • High: 3–4 hours

Chicken should be very tender and easy to shred.

4️⃣ Shred

Remove chicken, shred with two forks, then return it to the crockpot and stir into the sauce. Cook an additional 15–20 minutes to soak up flavor.
