🥔🍲 Creamy Potato Hamburger Soup (Hearty & Comforting)
This is a thick, cozy soup made with ground beef, potatoes, and a creamy broth—basically comfort food in a bowl.
🧂 Ingredients
- 500g ground beef (hamburger meat)
- 4–5 medium potatoes (peeled & diced)
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 carrots (diced, optional)
- 2 tbsp butter or oil
- 3 cups beef broth (or chicken broth)
- 2 cups milk (or half milk + half cream for richer soup)
- 2 tbsp flour (for thickening)
- 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika (optional)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional, but amazing)
🍳 Instructions
1. Brown the beef
Heat a large pot, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
2. Add vegetables
Add onion, garlic, carrots, and cook for 3–5 minutes until softened.
3. Add potatoes + broth
Stir in potatoes, salt, pepper, paprika, and broth.
Bring to a boil, then simmer 15–20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
4. Make it creamy
In a small bowl, mix flour with milk until smooth.
Pour into the pot and stir—this thickens the soup.
5. Finish richness
Add remaining milk (and cheese if using). Stir until creamy and slightly thick.
6. Simmer
Cook 5 more minutes on low heat. Adjust salt/pepper.
