Chicken Wings

Posted on March 30, 2026 by Admin

Chicken wings are a versatile crowd-pleaser—crispy, juicy, and perfect for snacking or a main dish. Here’s a clear guide with multiple cooking styles:

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings (whole or separated into drumettes and flats)
  • 1–2 tablespoons oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Optional spices or sauces: garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, buffalo sauce, BBQ sauce, honey-garlic, teriyaki

Methods

1️⃣ Oven-Baked Wings (Crispy)

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Pat wings dry (this helps crispiness), toss with oil, salt, pepper, and spices.
  3. Arrange wings on a baking sheet lined with foil and a wire rack.
  4. Bake 35–45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  5. Toss in your favorite sauce if desired and serve hot.

2️⃣ Air Fryer Wings

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat wings dry and season with oil, salt, and spices.
  3. Place wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook 20–25 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  4. Optional: Toss with sauce after cooking.

3️⃣ Classic Fried Wings

  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pat wings dry and optionally dredge lightly in seasoned flour.
  3. Fry wings 8–10 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
  4. Drain on paper towels and toss with sauce.

💡 Tips for extra-crispy wings:

  • Dry the wings thoroughly before cooking.
  • If baking, use a wire rack so air circulates around the wings.
  • For saucy wings, toss them immediately after cooking while hot for better coating.

I can also give you a bang-for-your-buck “sticky, sweet, and spicy” wing recipe that tastes like it’s from a restaurant. Do you want me to do that?
