Buffalo wing

Posted on February 1, 2026 by Admin

Ah, buffalo wings—the ultimate spicy, tangy, finger-licking treat! Here’s a classic buffalo wing recipe you can make at home:

Ingredients (serves 4)

For the wings:

  • 2 lbs (900 g) chicken wings, split at the joint and tips removed
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

For the buffalo sauce:

  • ½ cup (120 ml) hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar (optional, for slight sweetness)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Optional for serving:

  • Celery sticks
  • Carrot sticks
  • Ranch or blue cheese dressing

Instructions

1. Prepare the wings:

  1. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  2. Toss wings with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and vegetable oil.

2. Cook the wings:

Oven method:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  • Arrange wings on the rack and bake 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and golden.

Optional deep-fry method:

  • Heat oil to 375°F (190°C).
  • Fry wings in batches 8–10 minutes until golden and cooked through.

3. Make the buffalo sauce:

  • In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
  • Stir in hot sauce, honey (if using), and garlic powder until combined.

4. Toss wings in sauce:

  • Place cooked wings in a large bowl.
  • Pour buffalo sauce over wings and toss until fully coated.

5. Serve:

  • Serve hot with celery, carrot sticks, and ranch or blue cheese dressing.

If you want, I can also give a super quick air fryer version that makes crispy buffalo wings in under 25 minutes—less mess, same great flavor.

Do you want that air fryer version?
