Hereโ€™s a perfect Baked Potato recipe โ€” crispy skin outside, fluffy inside.


๐Ÿฅ” Classic Oven Baked Potato

Ingredients (Serves 2โ€“4)

  • 2โ€“4 large russet potatoes
  • 1โ€“2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1โ€“2 tsp salt
  • Black pepper (optional)
  • Butter & toppings of choice

Steps

  1. Preheat Oven
    • Preheat to 425ยฐF (220ยฐC).
  2. Prep the Potatoes
    • Scrub potatoes clean and dry thoroughly.
    • Pierce each potato 4โ€“5 times with a fork.
    • Rub with olive oil and sprinkle generously with salt.
  3. Bake
    • Place directly on oven rack (or on a baking sheet).
    • Bake 45โ€“60 minutes, depending on size.
    • Potatoes are done when a fork slides in easily.
  4. Fluff & Serve
    • Slice open lengthwise.
    • Fluff inside with a fork.
    • Add butter, salt, and your favorite toppings.
