Green Beans, Bacon, and Potatoes is a hearty comfort dish where tender green beans and potatoes are cooked with crispy bacon and garlic. It’s flavorful, simple, and often served as a side dish or light main meal.


Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 3 cups fresh green beans (trimmed)
  • 3 medium potatoes (cubed)
  • 4–5 slices bacon (chopped)
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Β½ tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

1. Cook the potatoes

  • Boil cubed potatoes in salted water for 8–10 minutes until just tender.
  • Drain and set aside.

2. Cook the bacon

  • In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy.
  • Remove bacon and keep 2 tbsp bacon fat in the pan.

3. SautΓ© aromatics

  • Add onion to the bacon fat and cook 2–3 minutes.
  • Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.

4. Cook green beans

  • Add green beans and cook 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5. Combine everything

  • Add boiled potatoes and bacon back to the pan.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Cook 3–4 minutes until slightly crispy.

Serving 🍽️

Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
