Homemade Chocolate Bar

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (175 g) chocolate chips or chopped chocolate (dark, milk, or white)
  • 1 tsp coconut oil or butter (optional, for extra shine and smoothness)
  • Optional mix-ins: chopped nuts, dried fruit, sea salt, crushed cookies, or rice crispies

Instructions

1. Melt Chocolate

  1. Use a double boiler: place chocolate and oil in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.
  2. Stir until smooth.
  3. Or melt in microwave in 20–30 sec bursts, stirring between each burst.

2. Prepare Mold

  1. Line a small loaf pan or silicone mold with parchment paper.
  2. Pour melted chocolate into mold.

3. Add Mix-Ins (Optional)

  1. Sprinkle nuts, dried fruit, or other toppings evenly on top.
  2. Gently press them into the chocolate.

4. Set Chocolate

  1. Let chocolate cool at room temperature for 15–20 min.
  2. Refrigerate 30–60 min until fully firm.

5. Unmold

  1. Lift out chocolate using parchment paper.
  2. Cut into bars or break into pieces.
