Church’s Chicken Honey Butter Biscuits

Posted on March 15, 2026 by Admin

🍯🍪 Church’s Chicken–Style Honey Butter Biscuits

These biscuits are soft, flaky, slightly sweet, and perfect with honey butter—just like the ones at Church’s Chicken.

🧾 Ingredients

Biscuits

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp cold butter, cut into small pieces
  • ¾ cup milk (or buttermilk for extra tenderness)

Honey Butter

  • ¼ cup butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Pinch of salt

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat to 220°C (425°F).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Make the Biscuit Dough

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. Cut in cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add milk gradually, stirring until just combined (do not overmix).

3. Shape and Bake

  1. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface.
  2. Pat to about 1-inch thickness.
  3. Use a round biscuit cutter or glass to cut biscuits.
  4. Place on prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake 12–15 minutes, until golden brown.

4. Make Honey Butter

  • Mix soft butter, honey, and a pinch of salt until smooth.

5. Serve

  • Warm biscuits slightly and spread generously with honey butter.

⭐ Tip:
For extra-fluffy biscuits, don’t twist the cutter when cutting—they rise better if cut straight down.

I can also give you a copycat Church’s Chicken full biscuit recipe with that perfect light and flaky texture if you want—it includes a trick with cream and butter layering to make them ultra-flaky.

Do you want me to do that?
