Grilled potatoes in foil

Here’s a simple and delicious way to make Grilled Potatoes in Foil — tender, flavorful, and perfect for the grill. 🥔🔥


Ingredients (serves 2–4)

  • 4 medium Potatoes, diced or sliced into 1–2 cm pieces
  • 2–3 tbsp Olive Oil or melted butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Dried Herbs (thyme, rosemary, or Italian seasoning)
  • Optional: Parmesan Cheese or Chopped Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare potatoes
    • Wash and dice potatoes into even pieces.
    • Toss in a bowl with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs.
  2. Wrap in foil
    • Place the seasoned potatoes on a large sheet of aluminum foil.
    • Fold foil into a sealed packet, leaving space for steam to circulate.
  3. Grill
    • Preheat grill to medium heat (about 190–200°C / 375–400°F).
    • Place foil packet on the grill and cook for 20–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until potatoes are tender.
  4. Finish & serve
    • Carefully open the foil (steam will be hot!).
    • Optional: sprinkle with Parmesan cheese or fresh parsley. Serve hot.

Tips

  • Use small or evenly diced potatoes for faster, uniform cooking.
  • Add onion, bell pepper, or bacon bits inside the foil packet for extra flavor.
  • Foil packets also work in the oven at 200°C / 400°F for 25–30 minutes if you don’t have a grill.
