🍝 Million Dollar Spaghetti

🧀 Ingredients
Pasta layer
- 500 g spaghetti
- Salt (for boiling water)
Meat sauce
- 500 g ground beef (or chicken)
- 1 jar (about 700 g) marinara or pasta sauce
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt & black pepper
Creamy cheese layer
- 1 cup cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cottage cheese or ricotta
Top layer
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella
- ½ cup grated parmesan
- 2 tbsp butter (sliced)
👨🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the spaghetti
Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Make the meat sauce
- Cook onion and garlic in a pan.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add pasta sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 5–10 minutes.
3️⃣ Prepare the creamy layer
Mix together:
- Cream cheese
- Sour cream
- Cottage cheese / ricotta
4️⃣ Assemble the casserole
In a greased baking dish:
- Layer 1: Half of the spaghetti
- Layer 2: Cream cheese mixture
- Layer 3: Remaining spaghetti
- Layer 4: Meat sauce
- Top: Mozzarella + parmesan + butter slices
5️⃣ Bake
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30–40 minutes until bubbly and golden.
