Posted on March 14, 2026 by Admin

🍗🦐🦀 Jerk Chicken, Shrimp, and Crab Boil

This dish combines spicy Caribbean jerk chicken with a seafood boil of shrimp and crab. The bold jerk seasoning comes from Jamaica, where Jerk chicken is one of the most famous dishes. Pairing it with a Seafood boil creates a flavorful, spicy feast.

🌶️ Ingredients

For the jerk chicken

  • 2 lbs chicken pieces (legs or thighs)
  • 2 tbsp jerk seasoning
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

For the seafood boil

  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled or shell-on)
  • 1 lb crab legs or crab pieces
  • 2 ears corn (cut into halves)
  • 3–4 small potatoes
  • 1 lemon (sliced)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1–2 tbsp seafood boil seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic

👨‍🍳 Cooking Instructions

1. Marinate the chicken

Mix jerk seasoning, soy sauce, lime juice, garlic, thyme, and oil.
Coat the chicken and marinate for at least 1 hour (overnight is best).

2. Cook the jerk chicken

Grill or bake the chicken at 200°C / 400°F for 35–40 minutes until fully cooked and slightly charred.

3. Prepare the boil

In a large pot:

  • Add water, seafood boil seasoning, lemon, and garlic.
  • Add potatoes and cook about 10 minutes.
  • Add corn and cook 5 minutes more.

4. Add seafood

  • Add crab and cook 5–7 minutes.
  • Add shrimp last and cook 2–3 minutes until pink.

5. Butter finish

Drain the seafood mixture and toss with melted butter and extra seasoning.

🍽️ How to Serve

Serve everything on a large tray or table spread:

  • Spicy jerk chicken 🍗
  • Shrimp 🦐
  • Crab legs 🦀
  • Corn and potatoes 🌽🥔
  • Lemon wedges

People usually eat it family-style with their hands.

💡 Tip: Add smoked sausage or Cajun seasoning if you want a flavor closer to a Southern U.S. seafood boil.
