Beef Tips and Noodles 🥩🍝
Beef tips and noodles is a hearty comfort dish featuring tender chunks of beef in a rich gravy, served over egg noodles. It’s perfect for a weeknight dinner or a cozy meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin or stew meat, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp dried thyme (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 8 oz egg noodles, cooked according to package instructions
Instructions
- Brown the beef
Heat oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown beef on all sides, then remove from the skillet. - Cook onions and garlic
In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic until softened. - Make the gravy
Sprinkle flour over onions and garlic, stirring 1–2 minutes. Gradually add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until smooth. - Simmer beef
Return beef to the skillet, add thyme if using, and simmer 20–25 minutes until beef is tender and gravy thickens. - Serve
Spoon beef and gravy over cooked egg noodles.
Serving Ideas 🍽️
- Garnish with chopped parsley
- Serve with steamed green beans or broccoli
- Add a side of crusty bread to soak up the gravy
💡 Tip:
- For extra flavor, marinate beef in a little Worcestershire sauce and garlic before cooking.
- You can also make this in a slow cooker: brown the beef first, then simmer with gravy ingredients on LOW for 6–8 hours.
I can provide a one-pot version that cooks the noodles right in the beef gravy if you want a faster cleanup version.
