Posted on March 13, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a delicious Apple Cinnamon Rolls recipe—soft, sweet, and filled with tender apples and cinnamon sugar.

Ingredients (makes 12 rolls)

For the dough:

  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F / 43°C)
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour

For the filling:

  • 2 medium apples, peeled and finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened

For the glaze (optional):

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tablespoons milk or cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Make the dough:

  • In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  • In a large bowl, mix sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs. Add yeast mixture.
  • Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms. Knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth.
  • Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1–1.5 hours until doubled in size.

2. Prepare the filling:

  • Mix chopped apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter.

3. Assemble the rolls:

  • Roll dough into a 12×18-inch rectangle.
  • Spread apple filling evenly over the dough.
  • Roll tightly from the long edge into a log.
  • Cut into 12 rolls and place in a greased 9×13-inch baking pan.
  • Cover and let rise 30–45 minutes until puffy.

4. Bake:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake 25–30 minutes until golden brown.

5. Glaze (optional):

  • Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to a drizzleable consistency.
  • Drizzle over warm rolls.

💡 Tips:

  • Use tart apples like Granny Smith to balance sweetness.
  • For extra gooey rolls, add a drizzle of caramel sauce along with the apple filling.
  • Rolls can be stored in an airtight container for 2–3 days and reheated briefly before serving.
