Shrimp scampi pasta bake

Posted on March 13, 2026 by Admin

Shrimp Scampi Pasta Bake is a comforting dish that combines garlic-butter shrimp, pasta, lemon, and a cheesy baked topping. It’s like classic shrimp scampi but baked as a casserole.

Ingredients (serves 4–6)

  • 12 oz pasta (penne, spaghetti, or linguine)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or white wine
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

1. Cook the pasta

  • Boil pasta in salted water until al dente.
  • Drain and set aside.

2. Cook the shrimp

  • Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cook for 30 seconds.
  • Add shrimp and cook 2 minutes per side until pink. Remove from heat.

3. Make the sauce

  • Pour chicken broth (or wine) into the skillet.
  • Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
  • Simmer for 2–3 minutes.

4. Combine

  • In a large bowl, mix cooked pasta, shrimp, sauce, and half of the Parmesan.

5. Assemble the bake

  • Transfer to a greased baking dish.
  • Top with mozzarella and remaining Parmesan.

6. Bake

  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.

7. Serve

  • Sprinkle parsley on top and serve hot.

💡 Tips

  • Add spinach or cherry tomatoes for extra flavor.
  • Use linguine for a more traditional shrimp scampi style.
  • A squeeze of fresh lemon before serving brightens the dish.

If you want, I can also show you a creamy shrimp scampi pasta bake version that tastes more like restaurant-style seafood pasta. 🍤🍝
