Here’s a simple, classic ham salad—great for sandwiches, crackers, or lettuce wraps. 🥪🥗

🥓 Classic Ham Salad

🧾 Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked ham, finely chopped or ground
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (or yellow mustard)
  • 1 celery stalk, finely diced
  • 2 tbsp sweet pickle relish (or finely chopped pickles)
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1–2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare the ham
Finely chop the ham with a knife or pulse it briefly in a food processor.
  2. Mix the dressing
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, mustard, lemon juice, pepper, and a little salt.
  3. Combine everything
Add the ham, celery, onion, and relish. Mix until well combined.
  4. Chill
Cover and refrigerate for 30–60 minutes so the flavors blend.

🍽️ Ways to Serve

  • Spread on sandwich bread or croissants 🥐
  • Serve with crackers
  • Spoon into lettuce cups for a lighter option
  • Fill stuffed tomatoes or avocados

💡 Tip: For extra flavor, add:

  • chopped boiled eggs
  • a little smoked paprika
  • or a spoon of cream cheese for a creamier texture.
