Dump dry stuffing mix on top to whip up this savory slow cooker delight

Posted on March 10, 2026 by Admin

It sounds like you’re referring to a slow cooker chicken & stuffing casserole where you simply dump dry stuffing mix on top. It’s a very easy “dump-and-go” comfort meal 🍗🥘.

Slow Cooker Chicken & Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 2–3 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 box dry stuffing mix (any flavor)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth or water
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the slow cooker
    • Lightly grease the slow cooker.
  2. Add the chicken
    • Place chicken breasts on the bottom.
    • Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Mix the sauce
    • In a bowl mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and chicken broth.
  4. Layer ingredients
    • Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
    • Add vegetables if using.
    • Dump the dry stuffing mix evenly on top (do not mix).
  5. Cook
    • Cover and cook:
      • Low: 6–7 hours
      • High: 3–4 hours
  6. Serve
    • Shred the chicken slightly and mix with the stuffing before serving.

Tips

  • Add cheddar cheese on top during the last 15 minutes for extra flavor 🧀
  • You can use turkey or rotisserie chicken instead of raw chicken.
  • Serve with a side of salad or mashed potatoes.
