Shrimp linguine

🍤 Shrimp Linguine (Garlic Butter Creamy Pasta)

Quick, flavorful, and perfect for a weeknight or dinner party.


🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

🔥 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook pasta
Boil linguine in salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve ½ cup pasta water.

2️⃣ Cook shrimp
Heat 1 tbsp butter + 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from pan.

3️⃣ Make sauce

  • Add remaining butter and olive oil.
  • Sauté garlic and red pepper flakes 30 seconds.
  • Stir in broth and cream; simmer 2–3 minutes.
  • Add Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon.

4️⃣ Combine

  • Toss cooked linguine in the sauce.
  • Add shrimp back and toss gently.
  • Add reserved pasta water if needed to loosen sauce.

5️⃣ Serve

  • Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan.

🌿 Tips & Variations

  • Swap heavy cream for coconut milk for a lighter twist.
  • Add cherry tomatoes or spinach for color and flavor.
  • For garlic lovers, add roasted garlic for extra depth.
  • Serve with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
