Meatloaf

🍽 Classic Meatloaf (Juicy & Tender)

A comfort-food staple that’s easy to customize.

🛒 Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers)
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Glaze:

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp mustard (optional)

🔥 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix gently: Combine all meatloaf ingredients in a large bowl. Don’t overmix (keeps it tender).
  3. Shape into a loaf and place on a lined baking sheet or in a loaf pan.
  4. Bake 45 minutes, then spread glaze on top.
  5. Bake another 15–25 minutes until internal temp reaches 160°F (71°C).
  6. Rest 10 minutes before slicing.

🧂 Flavor Upgrades

  • Add ½ lb ground pork for extra juiciness
  • Mix in chopped bell peppers or mushrooms
  • Swap glaze for BBQ sauce
  • Add shredded cheddar to the center for a stuffed version

  • Mashed potatoes
  • Green beans

  • Buttered corn
