Garlic butter lobster and scallops

Posted on January 30, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a luxurious Garlic Butter Lobster and Scallops recipe—rich, buttery, and perfect for a special dinner 🦞🦪🧄

Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 1 lb lobster tails (or chunks), thawed if frozen
  • ½ lb sea scallops, patted dry
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Seafood
    • Pat lobster tails and scallops dry.
    • Season both lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the Scallops
    • Heat 1 tbsp butter + 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Sear scallops 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and opaque.
    • Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook the Lobster
    • In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic.
    • Cook 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Add lobster, spooning garlic butter over it. Cook 3–5 minutes until lobster is opaque and cooked through.
  4. Combine & Finish
    • Return scallops to skillet.
    • Drizzle lemon juice and sprinkle parsley over seafood.
    • Toss gently to coat everything in garlic butter.
  5. Serve
    • Plate immediately.
    • Serve with steamed vegetables, rice, or a simple salad.

Tips & Variations

  • Extra flavor: Add a splash of white wine while cooking lobster.
  • Garlic butter sauce: Double the butter and garlic for a saucier dish—perfect for dipping bread.
  • Make it indulgent: Top with grated Parmesan or a squeeze of truffle oil.
  • Quick version: Use pre-cooked lobster meat; just warm in garlic butter with scallops.

If you want, I can also give a one-pan garlic butter seafood medley that includes shrimp, lobster, and scallops—all cooked together in under 20 minutes.

Do you want me to provide that version?
