Chicken Parmesan; Fettuccine Alfredo

Posted on April 1, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a guide to making a classic Chicken Parmesan paired with Fettuccine Alfredo—a comforting Italian-American meal with crispy chicken, savory tomato sauce, melty cheese, and rich, creamy pasta.

Chicken Parmesan

Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 2–3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian-style preferred)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prep the Chicken:
    • Pound chicken to an even thickness (~1/2 inch) for uniform cooking.
    • Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Breading:
    • Dredge chicken in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan.
  3. Cook Chicken:
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
    • Cook chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Bake with Cheese:
    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Place cooked chicken in a baking dish, spoon marinara over each breast, and top with mozzarella.
    • Bake 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Fettuccine Alfredo

Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 8 oz (225 g) fettuccine pasta
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: pinch of nutmeg or garlic for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta:
    • Cook fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
  2. Make Alfredo Sauce:
    • In a pan, melt butter over medium heat.
    • Add cream and simmer 2–3 minutes.
    • Stir in Parmesan until smooth.
    • Season with salt, pepper, and optional nutmeg.
  3. Combine:
    • Toss cooked pasta in the sauce.
    • Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed for a creamier texture.

Serve

  • Plate a portion of fettuccine Alfredo, then place the Chicken Parmesan on top or beside it.
  • Garnish with extra Parmesan and chopped parsley.

Tips

  • Crispier chicken: Use panko breadcrumbs and a mix of Parmesan for extra crunch.
  • Extra cheesy Alfredo: Add cream cheese or more Parmesan for a richer sauce.
  • Time saver: You can bake the breaded chicken in the oven instead of frying.

If you want, I can give a shortcut version where Chicken Parmesan is made entirely in one pan while the Alfredo cooks, so the whole meal is ready in under 40 minutes.

Do you want me to do that?
