Here’s a comforting, tender, and flavorful Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak recipe 🍖🥩

🥩 Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Ingredients:

  • 500 g ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork for extra flavor)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1–2 tsp cornstarch (for thickening gravy)
  • 1 tbsp butter (optional, for richness)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the patties
In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Form into oval-shaped patties.
  2. Sear the patties (optional but recommended)
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Brown the patties 2–3 minutes per side (they don’t need to cook through).
  3. Add to slow cooker
Place patties in the slow cooker. In a separate bowl, mix beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Pour over the patties.
  4. Cook
Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until patties are tender.
  5. Thicken the gravy
If the gravy is thin, mix cornstarch with a little cold water and stir into the slow cooker. Cook 10–15 minutes until thickened. Stir in butter if desired.
  6. Serve
Serve patties with gravy over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.

✨ Tips:

  • Browning patties before slow cooking adds flavor but is optional.
  • Add sliced mushrooms or carrots to the slow cooker for extra depth.
  • Leftover Salisbury steak reheats well and tastes even better the next day.

I can also give you a foolproof 5-ingredient slow cooker version that’s quick to prep and still super flavorful 😄

Do you want me to do that?
