Wisconsin Supper Club Cheese Spread

Posted on February 27, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a creamy, nostalgic Wisconsin Supper Club Cheese Spread — perfect with crackers, rye bread, or crisp veggies and inspired by classic Midwestern supper clubs.

🧀 Wisconsin Supper Club Cheese Spread

Ingredients (Serves 6–8)

  • 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, freshly shredded
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp finely grated onion (optional but traditional)
  • 1–2 tbsp milk or beer (to loosen, optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Paprika for garnish

Instructions

1️⃣ Blend the Base

  • In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, and mayonnaise until smooth.

2️⃣ Add Flavor

  • Mix in Worcestershire, garlic powder, onion powder, and grated onion.

3️⃣ Add Cheese

  • Fold in shredded cheddar until fully combined.
  • Add milk or a splash of beer if you prefer a softer, more spreadable texture.

4️⃣ Chill

  • Refrigerate at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.

5️⃣ Serve

  • Garnish with a sprinkle of paprika.
  • Serve with butter crackers, rye bread slices, pretzels, or fresh vegetables.

Tips & Variations

  • Beer cheese style: Replace milk with 2–3 tbsp light lager.
  • Spicy version: Add a dash of hot sauce or cayenne.
  • Extra sharp: Use aged Wisconsin cheddar for stronger flavor.
  • Old-school touch: Add chopped green olives or pimentos.

If you’d like, I can also give you a Wisconsin beer cheese spread version that’s warmed and served as a dip — perfect for game day.
