Twix cookies

Posted on March 13, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Twix Cookies, inspired by the classic Twix candy bar. These cookies have a shortbread base, caramel layer, and chocolate topping.

Ingredients (makes about 24 cookies)

Cookie Base:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Caramel Layer:

  • 1 cup soft caramel candies (or caramel bits)
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Chocolate Topping:

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil (optional, for smoother melting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Make the cookie base:
    • Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    • Mix in vanilla, flour, and salt until a dough forms.
    • Press dough evenly into a greased 9×13-inch baking pan.
  3. Bake:
    • Bake 15–18 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Let cool slightly.
  4. Add caramel layer:
    • Melt caramel with milk in a saucepan or microwave until smooth.
    • Pour and spread over the baked cookie base. Chill 10–15 minutes to set slightly.
  5. Add chocolate topping:
    • Melt chocolate chips (with oil if using) and spread over caramel.
    • Chill 30 minutes or until chocolate is set.
  6. Slice and serve:
    • Cut into bars or squares and enjoy.

💡 Tips:

  • Sprinkle sea salt or crushed graham crackers over chocolate for extra flavor.
  • For gooier bars, use double the caramel.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3–4 days or in the fridge for up to a week.

I can also give you a quick no-bake version of Twix cookies that’s ready in under 30 minutes if you want.
