Turkey wings with cream of mushroom

Posted on March 7, 2026 by Admin

Turkey Wings with Cream of Mushroom is a rich, comforting oven-baked dish with tender turkey and creamy gravy. 🍗🍄

Ingredients

  • 2–3 lbs turkey wings, split if large
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup chicken or turkey broth
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter or oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Season the turkey
Pat turkey wings dry and season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and salt.
  3. Brown the wings (optional but adds flavor)
Heat butter or oil in a skillet and brown wings for 3–4 minutes per side.
  4. Prepare the sauce
In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup with chicken broth until smooth.
  5. Assemble the dish
    • Place sliced onions in a baking dish.
    • Arrange turkey wings on top.
    • Pour the mushroom sauce over the wings.
    • Add minced garlic.
  6. Bake
Cover with foil and bake for 1½ to 2 hours, until the turkey is tender.
  7. Serve
Spoon the creamy mushroom gravy over the wings. Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or buttered noodles.

💡 Tips

  • Add sliced mushrooms or bell peppers for more flavor.
  • For thicker gravy, mix 1 tbsp cornstarch with 2 tbsp water and stir into the sauce near the end of cooking.
  • You can also cook this dish in a slow cooker for 6–7 hours on low.

If you’d like, I can also share a Southern-style smothered turkey wings recipe (very popular and even richer gravy). 🍽️
