Classic Texas Toast (Garlic Bread Style)
Ingredients
- Thick-cut white bread (the thicker the better)
- Soft butter
- Garlic (minced or powder)
- Parsley (optional)
- Salt
- Optional: shredded mozzarella or cheddar

- ½ cup butter
- 2–3 cloves garlic (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
- Pinch of salt
- Parsley if you’re feeling fancy
Method (best way)
- Heat oven to 425°F / 220°C.
- Mix butter, garlic, salt, parsley.
- Slather generously on both sides of bread.
- Place on baking sheet.
- Bake 5–6 min, flip, bake another 5–6 min until golden.
- Add cheese and broil 1–2 min if using.

- Cook buttered bread in a pan over medium heat
- 2–3 min per side until deeply golden
