Ahhh, a classic—bright, creamy, and just the right amount of tang 🍋‍🟩 Here’s a traditional, no-fuss Key Lime Pie that never lets you down.

🍋‍🟩 Key Lime Pie (Classic)

⏱️ Time

  • Prep: 15 min
  • Bake: 15 min
  • Chill: 3 hours (or overnight)

🥧 Ingredients

Crust

  • 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • 6 tbsp melted butter

Filling

  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup key lime juice (bottled is fine—Nellie & Joe’s is classic)
  • 1 tbsp key lime zest
  • 3 large egg yolks

Topping (optional but recommended)

  • Whipped cream or meringue
  • Lime slices or extra zest

🔥 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix graham crumbs, sugar, and butter. Press into a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. Bake crust 8–10 minutes, then let cool slightly.
  4. In a bowl, whisk condensed milk, lime juice, zest, and egg yolks until smooth.
  5. Pour filling into warm crust.
  6. Bake 14–16 minutes, just until set (center should still jiggle slightly).
  7. Cool at room temp, then refrigerate at least 3 hours.
  8. Top with whipped cream before serving.

🌟 Tips & Variations

  • Extra tart: Add another tablespoon of lime juice.
  • Ultra creamy: Fold in ¼ cup sour cream.
  • No-bake option: Skip eggs, chill filling 6 hours (texture will be softer).
  • Mini pies: Works great in muffin tins or tart shells.

Cold, creamy, and dangerously easy to eat straight from the fridge 😄
