Ingredients

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, chopped
  • Optional: ¼ cup milk (if batter seems thick)

Instructions

1. Preheat and Prepare Pan

  • Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
  • Grease and flour a loaf pan.

2. Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3. Mix Wet Ingredients

  • In another bowl, beat eggs, sugar, oil, and vanilla until smooth.

4. Combine

  • Slowly add dry ingredients to wet mixture.
  • Stir in chopped strawberries gently.
  • If batter is too thick, add a little milk.

5. Bake

  • Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
  • Bake 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

6. Cool and Serve

  • Let bread cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Slice and enjoy plain, or with butter or cream cheese.
